What motivates you to wake up every day?
It was hard for me to start writing this post—that's why it was postponed for an entire day. I must say, waking up for a good cup of coffee, and to have creative or even magical ideas, is something I truly enjoy. The comfort and stillness of those first moments in the morning, just before the creative chaos begins, feels beautiful.
I believe the desire to share my inner world has helped me so much. Especially on the harder days, when I feel incapable of getting out of bed or taking proper care of myself.
One of my dreams is to keep writing. I even signed up for a creative writing course for that very reason—because I enjoy it so much more than I expected. And recently, it has become one of the reasons why I still get up in the morning. I also love listening to music that could be described online as "dark academia aesthetic"—slow, melancholic piano melodies. Immersive environments like libraries and bookshops, where I spend my time studying or learning. The hunger to explore, to know more, and to experience more, is a great motivation.
To my tired self—the one that struggled to get up yesterday—I want to say: this morning feels better. I started with a small moment of emotional introspection, trying to understand how I felt and listening to what I needed. Sometimes I meditate, though I don’t always manage to when I’m feeling down. But yesterday, I had company at home. A friend I deeply love—someone I’d give the whole world to. She lit up my dark day, too.
This entry is a bit short, but to my exhausted self, I’d say: Focus on those little things that help when it’s hard to get up. The things you enjoy when you’re well. And keep going with your ideas and/or projects. I know you can do it!
