Write about a person who has inspired you in life.
That’s today’s blog prompt, and while it’s hard to choose just one person, there is someone specific who comes to mind. Someone who probably will never read this blog in their life, but to whom I want to dedicate a personalized post.
He’s a streamer currently based in Spain, and I discovered him during the pandemic. Not directly, of course. But he truly motivated me.
As I’ve written in previous blog entries, I went through a very difficult period in my life between 2018 and 2019. By the time 2020 arrived, I had no idea where I was heading. I couldn’t allow myself to think beyond the day-to-day, and all my dreams had crumbled into pieces.
I thought there was no escape, no solution. But then came the pandemic, like a silent salvation for someone who could barely survive the days without being consumed by the void.
That’s when Twitch was booming, and my daily escape became watching my favorite YouTubers playing games, reacting to videos, or simply talking to their audience live. I didn’t expect much—just a way to pass the time.
Then, almost like magic, Reborn Live started showing up here and there. A mysterious presence from the internet, but for some reason, I felt drawn to watch him. It felt as if the universe had placed someone in front of me to meet.
At the time, Reborn was streaming GTA V Roleplay, and I found his character—Jack Conway—utterly fascinating, with a tragic backstory and an enigmatic presence. You could watch for days, weeks, even months, and never fully figure him out.
And yet, with his synthwave aesthetic, 80s music, and captivating aura, Reborn eventually created his own Twitch account and started showing more of himself to the world. Remembering those early days brings a smile to my face, because without realizing it, watching him gave me strength to get up every day.
Reborn has a unique way of connecting with people—gentle, kind, even if at first he might come off as mysterious or intimidating.
But what helped me the most… was his approach to life.
How he guided both his character and his audience to find themselves, to keep moving forward, to seek better outcomes, to find strength, and, as he says, to “put on the suit.”
A suit always makes you look sharp, lifts your confidence, and helps you in certain situations. I think that’s the most powerful lesson I learned from Reborn.
To put on the suit—even if just in my mind—and look for solutions instead of staying stuck on the ground. That mindset led to a huge transformation in me. And I’m still in the process of changing, improving, and growing.
But I truly feel I wouldn’t have been able to do it without him.
Reborn was there for me—without knowing—in the darkest moments of my life.
He helped me grow.
Stronger.
And now, I try to be that person for others, in whatever way I can. I try to support, motivate, help, inspire.
Because when I needed it, he was there.
"And when the sun stops shining, I’ll be there."
Thank you, Reborn, for teaching me how to be who I am today.
For guiding me on my path, for supporting me with incredible music, and for giving me the motivation to, each day, get closer to finally owning my own suit—and to helping others shine too.
Thank you very much, I really appreciate it.
I can’t end this blog post without sharing some of his playlists that helped me through my darkest moments:
